Dr. Mbau Matuwa
Dr. Mbau Matuwa is a results-driven Public Health Practitioner and Medical Doctor (MBChB, MPH) with more than 20 years of clinical and programmatic experience across the DRC and Zambia.
He specialises in HIV/TB prevention, care, and treatment, including paediatric and adolescent ART, advanced HIV disease management, and MNCH programming. He has a proven record of provincial-level leadership, overseeing more than 300 health facilities, 270 staff, and PEPFAR/USAID-funded projects across Eastern, Central, and Copperbelt Provinces.
His expertise includes TQLA-driven performance management, quality improvement, and evidence-based strategies for achieving 95-95-95 HIV targets in close collaboration with MOH, CDC, and U.S. Department of State partners.
